Norm was a barn cat and the shop's "spirit totem". He was a constant presence in the shop, often found overseeing activities from a warm spot under the workbench incandescent light.

Cheryl Christner is Tim White's wife and a partner in life and on the project. She acted as the director and camera operator for the video documenting the guitar's disassembly and reassembly, even standing on a table to get the right shot.

Arjun Mendhi was an MIT Sloan Business School student who, after seeing Tim's presentation, approached him about creating a business plan for the Chrysalis guitar as a class project. His team’s key insight was that the guitar's modularity could function as a platform like a software operating system.

Nate Burnell was a critical team member who managed the shop and served as the technical lead during the development of the Ridgewing guitar. He was responsible for handling and fixing design issues and overseeing the fabrication processes, such as weaving carbon fiber strips into the molds. He was also involved in building and assembling the early prototypes.

Scott Lumsden, also known as "Q," was in charge of all the electronics and software for the Ridgewing prototypes. He designed the bridge's pre-amp circuit board, rechargeable battery system, and other electronic components. His work included creating the electronic "brain" for the instrument, allowing for features like battery status displays and future modular upgrades.

Bill Daly is a "wizard guitarmaker and engineer" with top-secret clearance for designing military technology. He designed and fabricated an elegant titanium lever for the self-tuning headstock, a key component that required a material with high strength and low weight.

Jay Lees is a master craftsman and the General Manager of Nu-Cast, Inc.. He was responsible for creating the investment-cast aluminum frames for the Ridgewing guitar. He translated Tim's CAD models into physical parts using a precise process of creating patterns, dipping them in a slurry of ground rubies, and pouring molten aluminum.

Stephen Mosher’s company was called Moses Graphite. He made the frames, bridges, headstocks, necks though they were unfinished. Steve switched to making carbon fiber spherical speakers.

Pat Barss is a master seamstress and neighbor of the Ridgewing shop. She contributed to the project by making decorative fabric backs for the guitars and provided technical skills that blended with the guitar's design.

Harvey Reid is a professional musician, multi-instrumentalist, and music technologist who played a significant role in the project. He was an early adopter of the Chrysalis guitar and toured with it, providing valuable feedback. He also collaborated on the creation of a Chrysalis Mandocello kit and performed at events showcasing the instrument's look and sound.
