The Ridgewing modular electronic bridge

The Ridgewing bridge is designed to contain all of the electronics – pickup, pre-amp, rechargeable power supply, DSP, USB digital connector, traditional cable connector, tone and volume controls, or whatever other components and capabilities come along in the future.  The PCB mechanicals are open source, so anyone can design a swap-out bridge board as long as it has the same mechanical form factor and screw attachment pattern. Arbitrary “buddy boards” can be stacked on the base PCB for who knows what, accommodated by a taller bridge cover. The bridge covers are made semi-transparent so indicator lights can be put anywhere on the PCB. The bridge attaches to the body with four sets of hooks, held snugly by the strings tension.
