This rendering shows the honey-comb structure of the die-cast magnesium frame for the First-Edition Ridgewing guitar. The grill is also die-cast magnesium, though rendered here as transparent and gold.

This view shows the First Edition frames from the front, minus the neck and exposing the neck-attach micrometer set screws. The grill on the left is the original Chrysalis grill, and the modified First Edition grill on the right. The fine grillwork elements in the Chrysalis grill design are too narrow for the die-casting process, requiring the new simplified grill design. The bridge electronics cover and the pick guard are rendered in the same blue-tinted transparent plastic.
