This Ridgewing bridge skeleton was created by slashing and cutting a full Ridgewing bridge model down to hooks and saddle slot, then re-connecting the loose parts with oval struts. This cuts down on the cost of 3D printing, and offers an accurate base structure on which to create a fantasy Ridgewing of your dreams by filling out with artist’s clay or FEMO. Or to be totally radical, just drill 6 holes in the rear strut and make this the actual bridge. The saddle slot is tilted back at a 15 degree angle to accommodate under-saddle pickups.
As a Maker experiment, this skeleton model is available on request for download as an IGES, STEP and STL file. Alternatively, it will be available from the Ridgewing Shapes Store on www.shapeways.com once we get done setting that up. Other 3D printed parts will also be made available there.
