Jay Darrow putting the finishing touches on the bass frame of Ridgewing Serial #2

Wet lay-up carbon fiber always ends up with some bubbles, no matter how carefully you laid up the mold. Here Jay is working on the bass body frame for Ridgewing #2, January 12 2015, filling little voids with some Bondo Glazing and Spot Putty which can be sanded in 30 minutes. The Ridgewing prototypes were finished more along the lines of automotive finishing than traditional guitar methods. Having a full NAPA store a quarter-mile down Rt. 77 was most convenient.
